This Week’s Actions

For the past three weeks, I’ve been backlogged with several projects, leaving virtually no time to rest and feeling somewhat anxious.
This week, I declined some jobs and finally completed all the pending projects.
Freelancing is just like this—you’re anxious when there’s no work, and anxious when there’s too much work.

However, I’m always an optimistic person.
Once survival issues are resolved, I can do things that interest me.

Working for others has an element of “necessity” as you must meet client demands.
Take webpage styling, for example—adjusting margins here, changing colors there—often boring tasks with little technical challenge.
But the client is paying, so I execute their requirements.

Although coding is often a means of survival, I still love this activity quite a bit.
When I find interesting projects, the money isn’t important—what matters is improving my skills and broadening my horizons.
When a project is fun AND someone is willing to pay for it, that’s double happiness.
Perhaps this is why I’m still not wealthy.
I’m too easily satisfied.

Now that I’ve finished coding for others, I can finally write “my own code.”

A VSCode Extension

In the last couple of days, I created a VSCode extension that formats and copies Markdown content to WeChat Official Accounts with one click.
Several similar applications already exist, but they’re all web-based applications where you edit Markdown text on their platforms.

My previous workflow was:
Edit Markdown content in VSCode, then copy it to another Markdown rendering application, and finally copy it to WeChat Official Accounts.

Surprisingly, there isn’t a good VSCode extension for rendering Markdown that can be directly copied to WeChat Official Accounts.

This bothered me.

If others won’t build it, I’ll build it myself.

This short article, if all goes well, should be formatted on the Official Account using my VSCode extension.

Since there are still some unfinished features, it probably won’t be released until next week. Stay tuned!
